A theatrical couple drawn together by Animal Magnetism returned to the stage where they first met to marry on Saturday.
Jack Blumenau and Sarah Linden met while performing at the Theatre Royal, Bury St Edmunds, in 1997.
In 2008 they become a couple after starring as love interests in a production of Animal Magnetism.
In the play Jack took the role of La Fleur who claimed to have magic that could cause people to fall madly in love.
Backstage life imitated art and five-and-a-half years on Jack and Sarah have tied the knot on the same stage.
Jack said: “We left that job and we were happily together from that point forward.
“There was no conversation of us getting married anywhere else than here it seemed to fit so well. It’s such a beautiful building.”
On Saturday the curtain was raised and Jack Sarah married while family and friends looked on from the dress circle.
Later the theatre was transformed into a spectacular ballroom where the couple again took centre stage for their first dance as husband and wife.
Sarah and Jack both have a long-running connection with the theatre and Jack’s father Colin Blumenau is a former director.
As well as this Sarah met her bridesmaid Janet Grieves while starring in Black Eyed Susan in 1997 when the two shared a dressing room.
