Teens hurt after hit and run in Bury St Edmunds

Two 17-year-old boys were left hurt after a hit and run in Bury St Edmunds.

The pair were crossing the A1101 at the junction with Thingoe Hill when the incident took place at 6pm yesterday.

A car, believed to be a light green people carrier, struck the teenagers as it passed, but did not stop.

It is believed the driver was female.

An ambulance was called to the scene with the victims sustaining minor ankle and foot injuries.

Police are looking for witnesses to the incident.
