Two teenage boys have been arrested after thefts from five shops in Bury St Edmunds yesterday.

The stores targeted were in Cornhill, St Saviours Interchange, Buttermarket, Out Northgate Street and Robert Boby Way.

The thefts took place between 3pm and 5pm, with stolen items including alcohol and DVDs.

The two boys, both from Bury St Edmunds, were aged 14 and 15.

They were arrested on suspicion of theft from a shop and taken to Bury Police Investigation Centre (PIC) for questioning.

They have since been bailed to return to Bury PIC on July 15, pending further enquiries.
