The Bury Schools Partnership held a workshop for teaching and learning assistants covering behaviour management to questioning skills.

The event, entitled ‘The Professional Teaching Assistant’, ran for two days at Abbots Green Community Primary to allow staff to work collaboratively and share expertise.

Headteacher Heidi Franklin, who organised the workshop, said: “Support staff within the classroom are a large part of any school and they are a valuable resource for both the teacher and children to utilise.

“A key aim of the Partnership is not only to promote learning opportunities for children but also for our staff.”
