Haverhill singer/producer Dale Bennett is hard at work on his next album.
The multi- instrumentalist creates his tunes from scratch, recording and mixing the tracks himself.
The 21-year-old, who released his debut album Make My Own Breaks last year, has recently received air play on BBC Introducing Suffolk, BBC Introducing Essex , Cambridge 102 and Cam FM.
Dale said: “I have been writing my own stuff since I was about 15. I started out mainly as a singer back then but now singing is just part of the package.”
Dale said his second album was taking him on a new direction.
“I play a bit of guitar and piano and produce the music too.
“My last album had some electro pop influences and a couple of piano ballads but the next album will be far more acoustic.
“I feel it is an album for people who love music in its pure form.”
Dale is currently taking a music production course at University Campus Suffolk.
“The music course has definitely broadened my musical horizons,” he said.
“I feel I was a bit of a one trick pony at the start but now I feel I have branched out. “At the moment I am busy at uni and writing lots of music. “But playing more gigs is something I want to do this year. I just love writing music and performing live.
“I would write music for other people but being a solo artist is where I want to be in the future.”
