Suffolk’s Police and Crime Commissioner Tim Passmore is asking businesses to take part in a short survey.
“Businesses need to know we are on their side,” said Mr Passmore.
“Police have got to do more to support the UK economy.”
Part of that is through procurement, part through solving crime, and part through keeping main roads open.
Suffolk Police has invested in a new Land Rover which will patrol the A14 and canbe used in emergencies to pull broken down lorries and other vehicles off the road.
“The A14 is a major artery through Suffolk . It has a massive effect on businesses if it is blocked.
“Now we have done this I can write to the Highways Agency to say, we are doing our share, now you do yours,” Mr Passmore said.
