Thetford Academy students who received awards for good work and attendance

Twenty students from Thetford Academy have been presented with awards for having a good work ethic and good attendance.

They each received a £20 book vouchers donated to the academy by the Thetford-based Simon Long Removals, which is celebrating its 20th year in business.

The vouchers were presented to the hard-working students at a special ceremony by Andrea Hill, Simon Long’s human resources manager, and Iain MacKintosh, academy senior assistant principal.

Thetford Academy moved into its new £18 million buildings in September and a month later Ofsted, which had it placed on special measures in February, said it was making ‘reasonable progress’.
