Road closures are in place while fire crews battle a blaze in a derelict building in Redgrave.

The fire service was called to the fire in the two storey timber framed building at 3am this morning.

Strong winds spread the fire and caused a large smoke plume that required police to implement road closures.

Tuffin Road, Fen Road, Hinderclay Road and Wash Lane have been closed.

In total six appliances from Diss, Eye and East Harling along with the Command Unity and Support Appliance from Ixworth have attended the incident. They have been joined by a water carrier from Newmarket.

The whole building is involved in the fire and crews are using main jets and a ground monitor to tackle the blaze.
