Show chickens worth more than £3,500 stolen from Timworth

Ten show chickens worth in excess of £3,500 have been stolen during a burglary in Timworth.

The chickens were taken from their sheds at a property in the Street at about 11pm last night (22).

The burglars were disturbed by the home owner who had let his dogs outside. He heard the sound of people running away and climbing over a rear fence.

He then discovered that padlocks to the chicken’s sheds had been forced off.

Police searched the area but were unable to locate the offenders.

The stolen chickens are described as follows: A pair of Chu Shamo; a pair of Japanese O Shamo; two pairs of Madagascan Game; a pair of Ginger Oxford. They have a combined value in excess of £3,500.
