A shed was burgled and items stolen from cars in Ringshall, near Stowmarket, this week.

A window was smashed on a large shed in the garden of a property in Lower Farm Road some time between 3.30am and 8.15am on Wednesday. It was entered and a chainsaw was taken, which was later found in a field near the property.

Police are linking the burglary to two other incidents where items were stolen from vehicles parked in Lower Farm Road.

The first occurred some time between 11pm on Tuesday and 8am on Wednesday. Offenders entered an insecure car parked on the driveway of a property and removed a rucksack containing tracksuit trousers, a Swiss army knife and a children’s toy. Other items were removed but were found discarded nearby.

The second incident happened at around 4.30am on Wednesday. A security light was smashed and a small amount of cash stolen from an insecure car parked on the driveway of a property.
