Rowing gently through the night in aid of Horringer Pre-School’s £18,000 extension work

Stuart Turner, a personal trainer, will embark on a 24 hour rowing machine challenge next month to help raise funds for an extension at the pre-school in Horringer.

A personal trainer will go the extra mile to help fund an extension at his son’s pre-school when he leads a 300km overnight rowing machine challenge.

Stuart Turner and a small team of parents will embark on the 24 hour fund-raiser from Feb 14-15 in aid of the £18,000 works planned at Horringer Pre-School which would house extra toilet facilities, new kitchen and staff/parent room.

The pre-school, in Meadow Drive, Horringer, which his son Ollie attends, needs some extra space as it has expanded in recent years and is taking on before and after-school clubs from Feb 24.

Stuart’s wife Kim, co-chairman of the pre-school, said: “We’re in a really lovely facility but we just need to expand.” She said the extension will be a ‘DIY SOS’ style project with the community helping to build it and local firms pledging items.

As part of the 300km attempt, her husband’s clients are sponsoring him to take on further personal challenges. To pledge money or get involved in the project, email Kim@bsteds.com or call 07557258875.
