Thousands of music fans flocked to Stowmarket at the weekend for the relaunched StowFiesta music festival.
This year, the popular StowFest event received a name change and a new family-orientated roster of events.
A mix of top local music talent and national acts graced three stages on Friday and Saturday under sunny blue skies at Chilton Fields.
Event organiser David Marsh said around 4,500 attended the festival over the two days.
“We were absolutely blessed with the weather,” he said.
“If we can book some more of that for next year that would be fantastic.
“I had decided this year to change the date of the festival and push it back three weeks.
“On the day it should have been on it didn’t rain so I got a bit nervous – but it all turned out really well.”
This year’s event included more entertainment for the family, with comedy acts, a circus skills workshop, a Punch and Judy show and much more.
“We tried to make it more than just a music festival, with more for families to do,” said David.
“But we also wanted to keep the live music at the heart of the event.
The town council’s next big event in Stowmarket is a beach party at the Recreation Ground on September 6, with a host of live music and an open air cinema.
