Despite thunderstorms in the evening, Wickhambrook Carnival welcomed record numbers to Saturday’s big event.
The carnival included a procession through the village, a six-a-side football tournament, a dog agility show and various displays from martial arts to majorette dancing.
The show also boasted a classic and vintage car show as well as the ever popular barbecue and beer tent.
Carnival committee chairman Tracy Stephenson said the day was a huge success.
She said: “Until the thunderstorms, it went really, really well.
“We think we got record numbers this year.
“We are still totting up the money we have made but it seems like we have also had a record-breaking day for fund-raising too.”
Last year the carnival collected more than £7,000 for local organisations.
