Pupils at Howard Middle School in Bury St Edmunds have enjoyed a week of activities to learn about World War One.
The exciting roster included creating artwork, poetry, stories and drama based on the experiences of real soldiers as well as a trip to the Imperial War Museum in Duxford.
Head of Art David Morris, who co-ordinated the week, said the pupils had been fascinated by the project.
He said: “This is an area the pupils hardly knew anything about - they probably knew more about the second world war - but they have absolutely loved it.
“Some of the poetry and writing they have produced, as well as letters home from real and fictional characters they have created, have been quite touching. They have certainly understood the emotional side of the subject.”
