Landlady Hannah Clark is offering people the chance to win her weight in beer – 144 pints – as part of the Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday (27).
Hannah who runs the The Old Cannon Brewery in Cannon Street, Bury St Edmunds, will hold a Macmillan coffee morning from 10am to 12pm.
Everyone who buys a £5 ticket will have the chance to win one of three great prizes, including the opportunity to win the landlady’s weight in Old Cannon beer.
“Macmillan Cancer Support is a fantastic charity and we are so grateful for all that the team do,” said Hannah.
“We all know, or know of, somebody battling the disease and with the support of Macmillan they won’t have to face it alone.
“As a local business, and a friend of someone who has received Macmillan care, we are always keen to do what we can to raise funds for the charities that provide our local community with support, which is why we are giving the people who attend our coffee morning the chance to turn that coffee (and a their winning raffle prize) into beer.”
The lucky winner can split their prize into four 36 pint containers throughout the year if they wish.
If the winner is not a drinker they can exchange their beer for £75 gift vouchers instead.
Meanwhile businesses are invited to a networking event at the Old Cannon Brewery also this Friday (27) between 4pm and 5.30pm.
A donation of £5 is requested and includes afternoon tea.
Businesses keen to attend are asked to confirm their attendance in advance by emailing email@example.com or calling Hannah on 01284 768769.
