Police today issued a CCTV image after a theft from a jewellers in Thetford earlier this month.
The incident occurred at about 10am on Monday May 12 at the shop in Well Street, when two men entered the store. One tried on several pieces of gold jewellery including a gold necklace.
This man then spoke to staff for several minutes whilst still wearing the necklace, before leaving the premises and running off towards the town centre without paying for it.
The necklace is described as a nine carat yellow gold, 30 inch curb-link necklace valued at £675.
Officers would like to speak to the man pictured in the CCTV regarding this incident. He is described as white, in his early twenties, of slim build, 5ft 9in to 5ft 10in tall, with very short hair in the style of a military ‘high and tight’ cut. He was wearing a grey jumper with a white line across the chest and dark coloured trousers.
