Police are appealing for information in relation to the death of a man working on the B1063 in Lidgate who suffered injuries ‘consistent with an impact’.

Aidan Gallagher, 37, of Ipswich, who had been carrying out road works, was found collpased on Tuesday, May 13, at about 10.30am.

He was taken by land ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital but died en route.

A Home Office post mortem examination on May 20 found he had internal injuries ‘consistent with an impact’.

On Wednesday, Suffolk Police placed collision anniversary boards along the roadside and details of vehicles travelling along the road from 9am to 11am were captured so further inquiries can be carried out.

They are keen to speak to anyone driving along the road at the time.
