Bury St Edmunds-born Sgt Stuart Scoulding described the Queen as ‘a lovely lady to talk to’ after he met her when she made an informal visit to RAF Marham, where he maintains Tornado engines.
His parents Trevor and Margaret still live in the Out Risbygate house where he was born in 1970.
Margaret says Stuart was always aircraft mad and went straight into the RAF from County Upper School in 1988. He now lives in Lincolnshire with his wife Jackie and two children.
He will be moving to RAF Coningsby at the end of the month to work on the new Eurofighter Typhoon.
