A new state of the art care home has opened in Mildenhall - the first of 10 facilities launching in the next two years as part of a £60 million investment by private provider Care UK. Mildenhall Lodge, which replaces Wamil Court, was opened by dignitaries and residents including Maureen Smith who helped name the new home.

Other care homes set to open in the next two years include Davers Court, in Bury in September 2014, Cedrus House, in Stowmarket in spring 2015 and Glastonbury Court, in Bury towards the end of 2015.
