The cast and crew of the Theatre Royal’s upcoming comedy production ‘Three Men in a Boat’ have dropped anchor at the venue to start rehearsals.
The play’s stars have claimed the Bury St Edmunds theatre’s Greene Room bar in the run up to opening of the classic tale of boating misadventure on September 4.
It is the first co-production between the Theatre Royal and the acclaimed Original Theatre Company, in Whepstead, which enjoyed sell-out success with Sebastian Faulks’ Birdsong.
Bosses say Three Men in a Boat, which marks its 125th anniversary this year, promises a ‘bounty of blazers, plenty of catchy tunes and one memorable imaginary dog’. It runs until Sept 12 before touring nationally.
