A music education company, which joined forces with the Bury Free Press to host the West Suffolk Schools Rock and Pop Awards, has scooped a prestigious accolade.
Industry Education in Music (IEM) won the HP Smart Business of the Year ‘Next Generation’ award which includes hardware, software, seminars, business introductions and mentoring for the Ipswich based company.
IEM runs workshops in schools across the country to assist music curriculum work while also inspiring pupils within their chosen career paths.
Founder Sam Robson said: “We had no idea we would even be shortlisted after just a year of trading.”
IEM is due to hold its second year of West Suffolk school activity this January.
