A Bury St Edmunds IT services and recycling company is expanding after buying a digital services business - and expects to take on more than 20 extra employees this year.

Green Duck, in Western Way, has acquired Front to Back Media, previously based in Fornham All Saints, to take advantage of its web and mobile app design work.

Its four staff have joined Green Duck and moved into its headquarters, which forms part of a greater expansion plan with three new positions to be created in its web development team.

The company will also be looking to recruit a further 20 new roles across its sales, IT services and IT recycling department over the coming year.

David Palmer, business development manager at Green Duck, said the acquisition allows them to oversee smaller projects as well as their usual larger digital products.

He said: “Our expertise in bespoke web-based applications and IT support services will allow us to provide both companies’ customers with a much broader capability.”

Mark Roper, managing director of Front to Back, will become Green Duck’s digital director as well as a board director and shareholder.

He added: “By bringing our two teams together, we’ve created great opportunities for both companies and our customers.”
