A Stowmarket social media and digital agency has won a prestigious national award for its social media campaign for antiseptic healing cream Sudocrem.
Orbital Media won the Best Campaign in Digital and Social Media award at this year’s Over The Counter (OTC) Marketing Awards on March 6.
The firm developed an innovative virtual treasure hunt application and support campaign aligned to Sudocrem’s For All Life’s Little Dramas TV campaign.
The application was embedded within the Sudocrem Facebook page, allowing users to choose from 40,000 squares, across four themed maps, to reveal hidden prizes. During the eight-week social media campaign, Sudocrem saw its sales increase by an unprecedented 23 per cent.

The OTC marketing awards recognise the best national suppliers in non-prescription medicines.
One OTC judge said of Orbital Media’s campaign: “A simple yet highly-effectove digital campaign for Sudocrem produced very clear outcomes and return on investment, coupled with excellent audienc engagement and strong key message delivery.”
