A man has been arrested in connection with a kidnap incident in Drinkstone in 2009.
The victim, a man in his 30s, reported to police that on Sunday September 13 2009 he was threatened at a property in Drinkstone by four men and was forced to get into a car and driven to London, where he was held in a flat against his will.
In the early hours of the morning, while his captors slept, he escaped.
On Wednesday, a 26-year-old man, of Croydon, was arrested on suspicion of kidnap, false imprisonment, blackmail and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. He was released on bail to return to Martlesham PIC on September 2.
