Youngsters in Beyton have an extra reason to look forward to play time with the official launch of £26,000 worth of new play equipment.

The equipment on the village green, which includes swings, climbing unit and trim trail, was launched by long-serving parish councillor Jack Maydom.

Ian Shipley, parish council chairman, said it meets a need for under sevens and annual safety checks made it clear they needed new equipment. It was funded by Mid Suffolk District Council, Beyton Village Association and the parish council.
