Children at Little Bears Pre-School, in Bury St Edmunds, celebrated letters and sounds with a ‘P’ party today, in aid of the Crackerjacks Children’s Trust charity.

Dressed in costumes ranging from pirates to princesses, they enjoyed taking part in fun activities like Potato Heads and puzzles and even enjoyed ‘P’ themed snacks, be it pineapple squares or potato rings.

Rebecca Smith, early years professional at the Tollgate Lane pre-school, rated outstanding by Ofsted last year, said: “ It was fantastic. All the children were really excited and went around showing each other their costumes saying whether they were pirates, pirate-princesses, princesses or fairy-princesses.”

It raised around £150 for the charity, which helps children with severe disabilities.
