Traffic signals will control traffic moving along the A11 as work progresses on the £18million dualling of the road between Fiveways roundabout at Barton Mills and Thetford.
This week there will be temporary traffic signals to enable plant to cross the road between 7am and 7pm. These will be manually operated as and when the plant needs to move across.
Two way traffic signals will operate at a number of locations along the A11 north and south. This will be overnight from 7pm to 7am. During this time two way traffic will be switched onto the new carriageway when appropriate. There will also be a lane closure overnight at the Thetford roundabout tomorrow and Wednesday. Southbound traffic will be diverted onto the new southbound carriageway between the roundabout and Gap cottage at Elveden.
Traffic on the B1066 is now using the new alignment across the bridge and traffic signals will be in use as required. There is a temporary 30mph speed restriction on the Center Parcs side of the road.
Tonight from 8pm to 6am there will be surfacing work carried out with the southbound section of the A 11 closed between the Brandon Road roundabout and the London Road roundabout. Traffic will be diverted along the A134 Brandon Road into Thetford and then the C587 London Road back to the London Road roundabout.
