West Suffolk Hospital has completed a £250,000 revamp of the building’s entrance.

The major project included installing new lighting, improving signage and redecorating the frontage to better define the entrances to the main building’s emergency department and therapy services.

The Friends of West Suffolk Hospital also donated £19,000 towards the cost of installing new automatic doors at the therapy services entrance.

Jan Bloomfield, Executive Director for workforce and communications at the hospital thanked the Friends for their very generous donation.

She said: “The new-look entrance looks fantastic and the automatic doors are a big improvement for patients coming to the department for treatment.”

Grant Greetham, Chairman of the Friends of West Suffolk Hospital, said: “First impressions are always important, coupled with the excellent care that is given throughout the Trust.

“We are delighted to be able to support this project.”
