Members of St Nicholas Hospice Care’s writing group saw their work in print for the first time when their poetry and prose was published in a Creative Works book.
Group members, who meet at the hospice every Friday, spent months compiling their work, with the support of Suffolk Artlink which sponsored the project.
Jane Carpenter, outreach manager at the Bury St Edmunds hospice, said: “Some of the content is so moving. One father, who attended the writing group with his daughter, wrote a poem about when she was born and then, after she sadly died, wrote another poem almost saying goodbye to her.
Steve Gibeau, from Newmarket, and June Horsfall and Audrey McDermott, both from Brandon, all contributed.
Copies are available from the hospice, in Hardwick Lane, in return for a donation.
