The Red Willows Trading Estate in Onehouse could become nine homes is planning permission is granted.

Hartog Hutton has applied for detailed permission to demolish existing industrial buildings on the Finborough Road and put up a terrace of three houses, two semi-detached homes and four detached ones on the half-hectare site.

Subject to viability, three homes will be affordable.

The site has been a basket factory, agricultural machinery showroom and a clothing factory, but is now used for ‘general industrial purposes’ including car repairs, stock car maintenance and storage, which the developers say has cause noise nuisance to neighbouring homes.

The site also has planning permission for waste transfer.

The applicants say local residents have welcomed the development, saying it would tidy up the area and they welcomed housing going on a brownfield site.
