Two handbags containing cash, cards and cosmetics were stolen from a white Fiat 500 parked in Shadwell on Sunday.

It happened between 4pm and 5.35pm in a car park near to the Thorpe Woodlands Adventure Centre.

Thieves smashed two windows and stole two handbags which had been hidden underneath the front seats.

Investigating officer Pc Tom Joyce said: “We’re keen to hear from any witnesses, in particular a man and woman aged in their 50s with a dark coloured Ford Focus. The couple were seen in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident.”
