The Bury St Edmunds branch of the Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA) has been recognised for achieving 75 years of dedicated service.
The group, which has around 170 members but only a few who are still actively involved, was presented with a certificate during an award ceremony at RAF Honington.
It also received new colour tassels for its standard, which is used on all ceremonial occasions.
Member Ernie Broom said: “Only about 12 branches throughout the country have reached 75 years and received this award so we are very proud indeed.”
Members and their wives were present, along with members from other RAFA branches and Royal Air Force personal.
The award was presented by RAFA area representative Roger Broscombe and followed by a buffet.
RAFA supports serving and ex-service personal of the Royal Air Force and their dependant families.
