Former Bury St Edmunds restaurateur Patrick Chung cooked a meal for 150 students at King Edward VI School for its Chinese New Year celebrations.

The school’s ‘Le Bistro’ dining hall was renamed ‘Ni Hao’s’, which means hello in Mandarin Chinese, for the festivities.

The school has also launched its sixth Shanghai Legacy Programme where groups of students travel to the city to take part in sport, music, art and media based leadership activities.

Funds raised from Mr Chung’s meal will benefit St Nicholas Hospice Care.
