Five crews battled four building fires at the site of a former garage on Fiveways roundabout on Sunday.

Five crews battled four building fires at the site of a former garage on Fiveways roundabout, yesterday evening.

A wooden outbuilding was completely destroyed in the fire and three other buildings were damaged.

Police have said they are treating the fires as arson and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called to the roundabout at 6.28pm yesterday.

Three appliances from Mildenhall, Bury St Edmunds and Brandon attended and found a single storey building measuring 10m by 4m well alight.

Crews later discovered separate fires in adjacent properties.

A second appliance from Bury St Edmunds and command unit and support pump from Ixworth later provided support.

The incident was under control by 9.05 last night.
