Volunteers at Ringhsall-based Orchard Barn have completed the first stage of a project to improve access for its less able-bodied visitors.

Tutor Chris Perkins and volunteers Sue Reynard, Jacky Horlock, David Provan, Pat Needham, Ivan Horlock and Peter Davey are pictured here with a gate hurdle they made out of ash log, sourced from local woodland.

It will form part of a wheelchair-friendly boardwalk from the car park to an accessible compost toilet and has been made possible by £9,000 of Big Lottery funding.
