A community group set to raise awareness of eco projects in Bury St Edmunds is to be launched in the town.
Sustainable Bury will launch at the St John’s Fair Trade Cafe, in St John’s Street from 7.30pm on Monday.
It follows other Suffolk groups that have helped cut waste, energy and use surplus food.
Pippa Judd, one of the founding members of Sustainable Bury, said: “After much planning, we are very excited to launch this new group in Bury St Edmunds.
“It will be run by the community for the community and people who want to help make our town a more sustainable place to live and work are invited to participate in the exciting opportunities a group like this can bring. “We invite all members of the community who are interested in what we are doing to come along. We will have speakers from other groups in Suffolk and free food will be available.” Visit www.facebook.com/sustainablebury
