The Ourburystedmunds app, which has been downloaded, for free, by almost 10,000 people, is now offering users an exclusive offer.

Cotswold Outdoor, in Abbeygate Street, Bury St Edmunds, is the first business to offer a 10 per cent discount to customers showing the app in store – for April only.

Store manager Lauren Baxter said: “We felt it was a good way of making people more aware of the store. We’re very excited to see how successful it is and hope to welcome new customers and reward our loyal customers too.”

Mark Cordell, chief executive of Ourburystedmunds, Bury’s Business Improvement District, said: “Ourburystedmunds was one of the first BIDs in the UK to have its own app, which was designed by local company Jabu Designs and nearly 10,000 people have down loaded it.

“We want to keep our app users up to date with all the latest offers in town and also want to encourage more people to download the app.

“For the first time we are working with one of our businesses, Cotswold Outdoor, in providing an exclusive offer for app users only and we hope this will lead to more users of the app and more business for Cotswolds.”

The app can be downloaded free of charge from the Apple Store and the Google Play Store.
