A three ft tall concrete dog in a studded collar has been stolen from outside a property in Brandon.

A three ft tall concrete dog in a studded collar has been stolen from outside a property in Brandon.

The statue, which resembled a Doberman sat upright on its hind legs, was stolen from outside the front door of a property in Walton Way between 8pm on Sunday and 7.30am on Monday.

Owner, Bryony Smith, said the dog was very heavy and had taken two people to put in place.

She said: “It beggers belief - we live in a quiet cul-de-sac. It’s not an opportune thing, it’s not something you could walk off with.”

The dog had been bought as a moving in present and Bryony said she would dress it up at Christmas and Halloween.

The theft is the second at the property in the past 15 months.

Anyone with information should contact Suffolk Police on 101.
