Artist Cate Hadley is running out of storage space so she is having a cut price sale of paintings and sketches dating back to the 1980s at Elsey’s Gallery in Elsey’s Yard, off Risbygate St, Bury St Edmunds.
Cate said: “People think artists sell their pictures as they go along , but you paint pictures for an exhibition, like the Jazz Heads one I had at The Apex, and you sell a few and are left with the rest. Some are very big.”
So she will be selling them at discounted prices through August on Wednesdays and Saturdays, starting this weekend.
Works in the exhibition may also be hired for as little as £5 per month and then swapped for others in the collection.
Elsey’s Yard is between Hardcore Hobbies and Celik’s Men’s Salon.
