The creator of a unique instant-lighting charcoal product is celebrating a successful first year after winning a top accolade and the support of the East of England Co-op.
Amy Hardingham, who came up with the idea for Barbecube last summer and produces it at Alder Carr Farm, in Creeting St Mary, won Enterprise of the Year and Gold for Innovation at the Ixion Enterprise Awards on Wednesday.Utilising her background in conservation, the product’s cardboard packaging doubles as the fuel for lighting the sustainable British charcoal inside the box.
Miss Hardingham says she is keen to promote the environmental benefits of buying British charcoal. Her product is sold at Alder Carr Farm and East of England Co-op stores. Visit www.barbecube.co.uk
