A couple are doing a sponsored 50 mile exercise bike ride in memory of a friend on his 50th birthday at his old workplace.

Colin and Lynne Frost will be on their bikes in memory of Mark Reavell at Marlows DIY and Garden Centre, in Hollow Road, Bury St Edmunds, on Thursday January 16 from 10am, to raise money for St Nicholas Hospice Care.

Mark, who lived in Codling Road, Bury, with his wife Lisa and daughter Ruby. A Marlows spokeswoman said: “Mark was a long serving and very much valued member of Marlows’ staff so it seemed fitting for Colin and Lynne to stage this event among his friends and colleagues who are only too happy to support them.”

He died of cancer and the Frosts wanted to do something in his memory for the hospice which cared for him in his final days.
