Council worker from Rougham accused of fraud by position

A woman charged with seven counts of fraud by abuse of position is accused of acting against the financial interests of people she was supposed to safeguard.

Caroline Green, 43, of Smithy Close, Rougham, allegedly stole £12,102 while employed as business support manager for Suffolk County Council between November 1, 2010, and July 31, 2012.

On Friday, Bury St Edmunds Magistrates’ Court released her on unconditional bail.

She is due to attend Ipswich Crown Court on July 29.
