Emergency services were called to an overturned car on the eastbound carriageway of the A14 at Haughley today.
A volunteer doctor from the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) charity was called to the incident shortly before 4pm.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service and the East of England Ambulance Service also attended.
A SARS spokesman said a silver Ford Focus had overturned in the fast lane of the A14 after being involved in a collision with a lorry.
The driver of the car, a 60-year-old from the Manchester area, was taken to Ipswich Hospital with non-life-threating injuries.
No-one else was injured.
