A Lakenheath man is battling an attempt by a court to seize his assets.
Keith Jones, 57, of Barr Drive, was jailed for two years after pleading guilty to producing cannabis at a garage and greenhouses at his home.
On Tuesday he told Recorder Maureen Baker at Ipswich Crown Court that he was challenging the amount the Crown Prosecution wanted to seize under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
When he was sentenced in May it was alleged the cannabis had a potential value of £57,000 although the sum was likely to have been nearer £28,000.
Jones had told the earlier hearing that he had planned to sell the seeds from the crop to fight a legal action against the Government after he had been the victim of a fraud which the police had allegedly declined to investigate.
The hearing was adjourned to October 13.
