Nearly 50 businesses across Bury St Edmunds and Thetford have taken up the gauntlet to transform £50 into as much money as possible for a vital charity.
They will battle it out for three months in an array of imaginative activities to try to raise the most for St Nicholas Hospice Care as part of the fifth Towergate Accumulator Challenge.
The £50 notes were donated by Towergate Insurance, of Newmarket Road, in Bury.
Abby Mayes, hospice corporate fund-raiser, said: “Some of the teams have already let me know what imaginative events they have planned and it sounds like we are in for a fun three months.”
Firms taking part include The Coffee House, of Lawson Place, Bury; ASDA, of Western Way, Bury; Glasswells, of Newmarket Road, Bury; Diaper Poultry, of Haughley New Street; Wild Tracks, of Kennett; Café Clare, of Clare; Brantano shoes, of Thetford, and Royal Mail, of Skyliner Way, Bury.
Prizes will be handed out at the end. It is not too late to get involved - contact Abby on 01284 715597.
