A mother of two who suffered from depression took her own life, an inquest ruled.

Tina Thursby was found hanged at her home, in Mortimer Road, Bury St Edmunds, on March 29.

In a statement, her GP said he was ‘at a loss’ as to why she had taken her own life.

A family statement, read by Suffolk Coroner Dr Peter Dean, said Miss Thursby, who worked as a school lunch supervisor, had suffered from depression since 2007 when she and her partner had separated.

The statement showed that she had struggled to accept her bipolar depression, said Dr Dean.

Recording a verdict that she had taken her own life, Dr Dean said Miss Thursby had clearly understood and intended the outcome of her actions.
