Usain Bolt, Steven Gerrard, Andy Murray and David Beckham were among the sporting heroes featured by pupils in a combined literacy and sports project.
More than 50 children from the Bury Schools Partnership presented their work on sporting heroes at King Edward VI School and received certificates from Matt Edison, Gavin Hogg and Ben Radmall from Bury Rugby Club.
Heidi Franklin, head at Abbots Green Primary, said: “All of the pupils have been absolutely fantastic. They have attended seven sessions over the last three months and have shown a great deal of commitment to the project.
“Teachers and support staff from across the Partnership have been involved in the planning of this great opportunity as well as lots of help from parents in getting their children to the different venues.”
