Suffolk County Council has voted through plans to build a two-classroom extension at Bosmere Primary School.
The school, in Needham Market, is set to expand as part of the county’s Schools Organisation Review.
Councillor Peter Beer, Chairman of Development Control Committee said: “During the committee meeting Bosmere Primary School was discussed and in particular a new permanent additional accommodation for years five and six at Bosmere Primary School.
“We considered all aspects of the proposal and took into account that the school has larger facilities than those usually found in schools of this size.
“We have been told that the head teacher and governors support of the proposed extension and Mid Suffolk District Councils had no objections as its in accordance with their MS Development Plan.
“The committee voted unanimously in favour of the proposed changes.
“Further details can be found in the minutes and we wish the school all the best in the future.”
