The Old Cannon Brewery hosted its annual Bar in the Yard event at the weekend - bringing a fresh fruity twist to its popular beers.

Five of the brewery’s ales and a further 10 guest ales were on offer with patrons invited to create their own beer cocktails.

Landlady Hannah Clark said more than 400 people had visited the beer festival over the weekend.

She said: “We had a fruit beer theme this year and also had some spirits and liqueurs which are ideal for making your own beer cocktails.

“For example we created one called Pirate’s Grog which was one third Black Pig and two thirds Gunner’s Daughter.

“We had another called Horatio’s Tipple which included a 10ml shot of lemon liqueur.”
