A barber shop that combines tradition with a contemporary twist has opened in Mildenhall.
Barbers-Inc Parlor, in High Street, offers a full grooming experience that includes hair cuts, clipper cuts, beard trims, shaves, hair tattoos, flat tops and ‘Afro’ hair.
Joint director Richard Copsey said: “Barbers-Inc Parlor offers the young and modern man to the more senior and conservative the space to escape the pressures of modern living with a little bit of private time and conversation with your barber.
“We take an old-school approach with a serious commitment to quality, whilst providing a progressive environment that is continually updated with a fresh attitude and current styles.”
The shop, now in its fourth week, offers booked appointments as well as a walk-in service and has already recruited an independent barber to work alongside senior barber and joint director Jonathan ‘Jon’ Westbrook, with another expected to be hired next week and a fourth in September.
Jon also teaches and assesses college students in Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge and, using his experience of training new barbers, the aim is to open a barber-training academy in the business’ second year and more shops within the next five to 10 years.
The shop opens 8.30am-6.30pm Monday-Wednesday, 9am-7pm Thursday, 8am-7pm Friday and 8am-3pm Saturday.
